About Us

Samurai Heritage

Ju Jitsu (originally known as 柔術, jūjutsu) is a Japanese martial art developed by the Samurai as a method of close combat. It's mainly hand-to-hand and focuses heavily upon throwing (and landing), immobilizing, joint locks and choking. Weapons are also closely studied.

It's all about technique!

At Sei Jou Kai Ju Jitsu technique is key to everything; allowing a much stronger and larger opponent to be effectively immobilised. Fitness, core strength and flexibility are also key features and are an integral part of our training.

Japanese Martial Arts

Sei Jou Kai Ju Jitsu is part of there Akodo Association

Akodo is a collection of like minded Japanese Martial Arts Clubs based in the Midlands, UK under the guidance of Roger Knowles renshi (5th dan).

Akodo literally means "Accord" in Japanese. The world of Martial Arts is a complex one, beset with all kinds of problems generally arising from groups and individuals pertaining to be something they aren't. We avoid politics by training hard and working together and providing friendly, focussed environments where students can learn without agenda or bias.
